Megan Fahey
Assistant

Background: I am a student at Masconomet Regional High School.

Role at HWVH: I am an assistant veterinary technician at HWVH. Basically, I am there to keep the office clean and organized.  Everything needed to run a veterinary practice has a specific spot, and I make sure that they are stocked and organized so the technicians and Dr. Pett can work efficiently.

First Pet: My family adopted a beagle/ jack Russell mix from Save-A-Dog in 2001.  His name is Gordon and still lives with us today but it hasn't been easy, as he suffers from epilepsy.

Animals at Home: Besides Gordon, I have Joy, a shepherd mix we recently adopted.  Also, I own Austin a quarter horse.  I've been riding horses for almost 9 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it!

What Can People Learn From Animals? It's easy to get lost in life's hardships and forget about the good things in life.  My dogs have taught me to let go for a while and relish in life's simple joys like snuggling with a fleece blanket and taking long walks.

Why Do You Like Working With People Who Care About Their Animals? Seeing the way people care for their animals is always heartwarming.  Dogs and cats are not just pets to us, they are members of the family.  At HWVH, we are all one big family, coworkers and patients.  When one of us is in pain, we all are hurt but we also share the joys of new additions to the family and milestones in our pet's lives.
