Hometown Heart, Lifelong Bonds
Our story isn’t just about veterinary medicine—it’s about community. From our earliest days, we’ve been more than a clinic. We’ve been a neighbor, a helping hand, and a familiar face when you need one most.
Whether we’re catching up with you at The Community House’s annual events or seeing your pup for their yearly exam, we believe in building real relationships—with you and with your pet.
From Student to Steward: Dr. Alex’s Story
Meet Dr. Alexandra St. Pierre—better known as Dr. Alex. A true North Shore local, she got her start at Hamilton Wenham Veterinary Hospital at age fourteen, working as an assistant and imagining a future in veterinary medicine. That dream led her to earn her degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, followed by an internship in large animal medicine at the University of Georgia. She then moved to the U.K., where she worked at Newmarket Equine Hospital and later in small animal practice with Swayne and Partners Veterinary Surgeons.
Dr. Alex returned to the States in 2020, joining Hamilton Wenham Veterinary Hospital as an associate. In 2025, she became the lead veterinarian and proud owner of the very practice where her journey began. She now lives in Ipswich with her husband, son, and rescue dog, and is passionate about providing personalized, collaborative care to the community she’s always called home.
